SPEAKER_00

It's good morning, Gri and Steph. Welcome to Yellow Shelf.

SPEAKER_02

Good morning.

SPEAKER_00

Morning.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you for having us.

SPEAKER_00

Ah, thank you for joining me. Gri, you've already been on Yellow Shelf in recent months talking about your book, but I have you both back today talking about your podcast show. Congratulations, ladies. I know it's a newish podcast, maybe 14 episodes, but still going strong. And I really wanted to bring you on. Tell us all about the podcast show.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, agree. I'll just start with our little catchphrase because we like to call it the podcast for quirky humans navigating the messy middle. So that's kind of that's a little bit of us, you know. We take humans, but it might be more attractive to women because we have the lived experience of women. But, you know, there might be curious men who want to know about quirky women, right? What do you think, Steph?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think um our space is to create discussions around midlife and health, well-being, tech and hormones, stress, identity, relationships, all the things that we're going through that, you know, maybe once when you were younger weren't so important, but they're changing as we change as well. So uh it's so it's a fun space to be in. I'm loving, loving it so far.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, go ahead. Sorry.

SPEAKER_00

No, I was gonna say I'm I'm the messy in the middle. So like you were saying, Steph, things that were not on my radar a decade ago are on my radar. So it's um it's you know, the podcast show is quite humorous and interesting and serious, but it's also like you learn things that you don't realize you're gonna know. They need to know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And and we try to create that safe place and that warmth around everything, tech and even a little bit of ancient wisdom every now and again. That that's definitely not me, all right? But but uh we you know, we we started out kind of just having a a yarn between us, you know, just riffing or dribbling as uh Steph would call it in our first season, and then this season we kind of went, you know, let's create a theme. So our theme is wealth, but not just financial wealth this season. So that's what we've been recording and just started dropping our um first episode drops. Is it Tuesday?

SPEAKER_02

This second episode's this Tuesday today, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But the first the last week was just us dribbling. Oh, yes, sorry, yeah. This week is with a real guest called Susanna. So so it's kind of funny, and then the next one we're looking at, you know, extraordinary women doing extraordinary things, you know, and then we're also thinking about kind of bringing in those that are struggling in life and having you know, having conversations, creating a sex race for conversations.

SPEAKER_00

And Steph, and I and Green, you can come to this in a minute. Your skill set and background, your knowledge, your journeys complement each other as co-hosts. Do you want to sort of comment anything on what we need to know about um how you guys met and and your backgrounds?

SPEAKER_02

Well, the funny story is Gree and I haven't actually met in person. Uh we we were um both in an entrepreneurial group, and um I actually sought out Gree's AI expert uh knowledge, and then through that we built this relationship of um realizing that we have a lot in common and that we have a lot to say and share. And um yeah, and hence Vitalify Unplugged was born. But my background is in um healthcare, I'm a registered nurse, um, health promotion and education has sort of been my jam. But you know, I've really uh it's been exploring sharing that wisdom in Substacks and writing and now podcasting, and um it's been great to share this with Greece because she definitely brings a whole new world of wisdom that is complementary to what I'm exploring. So it's it's been great.

SPEAKER_01

I guess it's kind of interesting because even though my background is technology and I'm a software engineer by profession, although I've I'm more in the people side of things and a speaker uh now, but uh I've always been interested in technology from the perspective of what problems can we solve. So I've always loved that intersection between health and education and technology and how that brings things together because we really do need to use technology as an enabler and as a um problem solver for for real-world problems for humans. Uh so I think that's kind of you know, we riff about anything, but you know, and ladies, what's the plan?

SPEAKER_00

You've you've you mentioned your seasons just dropped, your second season. Um, is there lots in the the pipeline? You're kind of lining up guest themes.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I think this this season is really interesting because the people we've connected with have really deep wisdom and lived experience in understanding the depths of wealth beyond financial. And um, so that's looking at uh relational wealth, um uh environmental wealth, like all the things inner wealth inner wealth, and um we've we're going to be having an indigenous elder under ancient wisdom. We've got a doctor who's been through you know hardship in his in his um career and rebuilt himself with a different perspective. We've got it the the guest lineup is absolutely gorgeous, and their wisdom and hopefully getting that out there to expand people's mind on getting past like just being financially wealthy is only one part of being rich and living a rich life.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so true.

SPEAKER_01

And I I think for us it's kind of been the first this first season with guests, we've gone with people we know, yeah. Right? So people we've met and not we haven't gone out and reached out to the you know the um the typical experts in the world. We've reached out to real humans with real lived experience and um uh you know that sort of stuff. But I I do think there's a funny episode in the first season with um uh uh I think it's the one that's called You're Not Lazy, which is really where where um Steph goes. She goes, Oh, you know, as I was researching for this, I realized how how much I'm on the ADHD spectrum myself. Yes. Welcome to the Neuro Spicy World.

SPEAKER_00

Uh it's such a safe space for Neuro Spicy. It's such a safe um, just to, you know, to help people get curious about your topics and podcast episodes. Ladies, what uh what if we're watching anywhere in the world and we're curious about either of you, we're curious about the show. Um I'm gonna put links in the show notes, but please share your own platform. So where should we go?

SPEAKER_01

You go, Greg. Yeah, so so we have a website called vitalifyunplugged.com. So that's kind of the the holding pattern, but we're also on Spotify, on Apple Podcasts, and on YouTube. So we'll be posting there. We also post little snippets to all the social platforms under Vitalify Unplugged. Uh, and then obviously uh for me, you you can reach me personally on greestender.rocks. And Steph has got multiple sites as well. Yeah, Steph, tell us about yours.

SPEAKER_02

So um, other than Vitalify Unplugged, I have a substack called Magnetic Mama, sharing parenting empowerment and lived experience with women, particularly going through the messy middle with tweens and teens. So we're like hormonally on the opposite spectrum. So I share that on my um Substack, but I also have a website called Magnetic Mama. And um, I have another website called Magnetic Health and Wellbeing, where um there's a whole new platform launching that I'll just leave it at that. You can go there and find me, my email's there. Um, but yeah, I would love to people to check it all out and have a listen and engage. I'm here.

SPEAKER_00

I will um I'll put the links in the show notes, ladies. Um and always good to find fellow Substackers. Yellow Shelf's on Substack as well. So I'll make sure I I tag you in. Um congratulations, ladies.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, thank you for having me.

SPEAKER_00

I know podcasting's not easy and pulling it together. Um remind us the name of the episode we need to check out. Is it something about not being lazy?

SPEAKER_01

I think it's you're you're not lazy, you you're just overwhelmed or something like that.

SPEAKER_00

I'll find it, I'll find it, I'll uh it's it's in the first one. But I mean, people need to go and check it out. Check it out, dive in. Uh ladies, keep podcasting. Thank you so much for joining us.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, thank you. Thank you. Much appreciated. Cheers.
