Dhrasti! The Perception
A book focused on ... resetting your outlook to reduce the stress, conflict and complexity in your life.

Dhrasti! The Perception is a practical, perspective-shifting guide to seeing life beyond conditioning-so you stop reacting from old programming and start responding from clarity.

You'll learn how the mind gets shaped by childhood patterns, social influence, status culture, and modern media-until your default state becomes tension, comparison, and chasing. Then you'll be shown a different possibility: the observer state-where you can witness thoughts and emotions without being dragged by them.

This isn't theory. It's a reset.
Not just another self-help guide, DHRASTI! The Perception is a quieter and more radical way to experience life that will clarify your work, relationships, self-worth, emotional pain and everyday decision-making.
As Pratiqk points out: “Life can feel like a contract that you never signed up for resulting in the endless pursuit of money, social influence and status. As a result, your default state becomes exhaustion, tension, comparison, and chasing. The solution is about letting go.”

Well, it's good morning. Patrick Jani, welcome to Yellow Shelf.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning. Thank you very much for having me at the show.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, my pleasure. You're coming from the UK this morning. Uh it is super exciting to have you on. You've got a new book out called Drastic. Tell us all about it.

SPEAKER_00

So, Drasti is it means perception, how we see the life and from where we see it. And since my childhood, I had some curiosity about why we do what we do. But there was no one I could ask. And I came to UK at the age of 18, and I saw a completely different perception about life from different people than how I saw things in India. And that was something in the background, always trying to find reasons why this difference is there. And I became an accountant and you know helped people set up their businesses and became consultants, tax planning. But the numbers discussion had only been 10 minutes, and the rest of the time we talk about the mindset. And you know, because in UK, people have come here from all over the world. So they all come from different backgrounds. And I had this, you know, this desire to know how they perceive life and how they see things because it's different for everybody. And I've been through a lot of hurdles myself about the business and everything. Um, so then the clients go through the same thing. And four years ago, um, I certified as a rapid transformational therapy by Marissa Pierre. And that literally was the last missing puzzle in my entire like work that how we learned the you know, how the conditioning takes place from the point we woke up, uh, we were born. And then every day we learn from our parents, our schools, our teachers, our friends, families, and as we grow, we learn from other people. And that is what defines us as our identity. That tells us what keeps us happy, what makes us sad. Everything was part of conditioning. And that is why we learned somehow that we need to change something externally to feel fulfilled. And there is no limit. You know, if one is earning a thousand pounds a month, and then one is earning 10,000 pounds a month, and they both feel the same because they all want still more and more and more. And what is that we are really after? You know, this question lasted for uh eight, nine years of different studies, different spiritual practices. You know, I've done like Kriya Yoga, I've done uh Sadhguru's inner program, I've done Spenza's, you know, the formula course, and you know, I've done psychedelics in Peru, uh, in South America, and I did everything, and finally, I don't know what triggered, but maybe everything I passed through was a journey. Yes. That if everything is conditioned, uh, what is our existence if we remove all that conditioning? Yeah, and what I experienced was felt like this is my true self, and it was whole, it was complete. It needs nothing, it existed every moment when I was experiencing life. So when I'm happy, when I was happy, I could see this part was, you know, you can't touch it, it's like completely full and whole. When I was sad, he was observing that I'm I was experiencing the sadness, but that part was not sad. And that just decoded every I mean, it was ground shaking for a first moment when I had that realization because the person I used to call myself as me didn't exist in that state. And slowly I kind of integrated information, and then everything started making complete sense. When I had this realization, I couldn't stop myself. Like the world, there are a lot of people going through the challenges, the struggles, the pain, whether it's love, whether it's money, whether it's relationships, they need to know this. That you are you are taught to chase things externally where you are actually complete. So that's why the book came into play. And when I did my first draft, and I had about 25-30 Beta readers, they read the book and they all came back with identical feedback, like something shifted in them, right? And fatigue, why don't you do something where we can experience this? And that's how the three-day dressing method was created by me. So, in three days, so book is giving deeper understanding, and a lot of people can just change the way they live their life by reading the book. But if there is someone like myself who's curious and he wants to go to the you know the root of this whole thing, then there is a three-day method. I'm doing the first one in September in London, and I will be next year. I have a plan, I don't have the set dates yet, but I will be visiting Australia as well. Ah, wonderful, Australia, Canada, and Dubai, and India, of course. So these are the countries I'm hoping to organize something next next year with a very small 25 to 30 people because I want them to have a proper experience. And when they leave, there is no homework, there is no four o'clock in the morning, waking up and do them. There is nothing you need to do to achieve it. You just need to see. I mean, that's the big difference. Every practice is I enrolled for, I had to do something in addition to my daily routine, like my work, my family, and everything. Whereas this method changes something from you in that three days where there's nothing needs to be done. You can wake up whenever you want, you can continue with your life, but the way you see your life will change. And it is everything you do is out of bliss. You know, a give an example if somebody's working corporate job nine to five, they're always under pressure, and you know, even the weekends they can't enjoy fully because they're worried about Monday. And I've been there. And, you know, that person likes to play piano. So for half an hour he's playing piano. Doesn't matter how good or bad he plays, right? But he enjoys the act of playing that piano. So when you are living life from the observer state, you are complete. And whatever you do, from the moment you wake up to the moment you go to bed, it's like playing that piano because there is nothing you want. So you go to work because you enjoy the process of going to work, not because you want more money and then you can buy more luxury, because that doesn't end. You're operating from wholeness. That wholeness changes the complete experience. You stop labeling this is good experience and this is a bad experience. It is just experience. So if somebody comes angry at you, you will not get angry at them because you know that they're acting out of their learned behavior or their conditioning. So if I see that person without conditioning, it's just like me.

SPEAKER_01

Well, thinking of that example. I mean, I feel like um from what I got from the book, it's a blend of like psychology as well as like self-awareness and mindfulness. Would you say that's fairly accurate?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and uh there's there's one reason um I deliberately didn't want to title the book, whether it's spirituality or whether it's psychology, whether it's therapy, because the book is a result of one common man who came to London to have a happy life, who was struggling for work, business, and everything. And he had this realization because when when people see this spiritual, most people would kind of go away from it because oh, that is only for people who can devote time. If I say therapy, then you first need to identify that there should be something wrong before you go to therapy. But this isn't any of that. The book is actually a conversation with your own self, and you answer and address the questions which were always there, but we never paid attention, we never became aware of those questions. So it's a book written by a very ordinary person, but had certain experiences, and what that says is that anyone in this earth can read that book and feel that difference. Okay, and will agree to what is written because it's it's it's whoever has read it has come back and said the same thing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, wonderful. And tell us about writing. Would you write again? I guess when the time's right. Did you enjoy writing? Was that a journey as an author you enjoyed?

SPEAKER_00

I love this question, and I haven't been asked this question before, and I'm so delighted to answer this. I started writing this book. I saw three years ago, one of my manager in India office for accounting said, Pratik, you have so much knowledge. Why don't you write a book? And I'm like, Yeah, but because I know so much, I don't know what exactly to write. And then, you know, like last year, I think, early last year, uh I was meditating and a word came called Drasti. And suddenly that that word, I could see the front cover. So the front cover of the book, as you can see here, yeah. I visualized it at that time.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And I only knew my first beginning, like what I'm gonna start writing about, like how the conditioning, how we see the life. But as I was writing, I think something was coming through me. And when I started to write, I didn't know what the end is going to be. But by the time I came to the end, it literally just blew my mind. Like, there is no way I could write this. So I'm I'm not gonna make it more spiritually or spirit thing. But I think there were things inside me, but as I was writing, they started getting words to express those things. So am I gonna write another book? I don't know because for me, everything I do is a piano, right? So if I feel in from inside, like I did think like okay, that could be thrusty for parenting because conditioning starts from children. So, how about if we if I write something on children? So, how to condition the children so they don't go through from the struggles from day one rather than them getting older enough, go through the pains and then look for the cure, right? Yeah, um, but I'm like, okay, you know, when the time comes, the there's potential. There's potential.

SPEAKER_01

Uh look, I hope uh it is my hope that uh anyone out there curious uh takes a look at Drusty and you know enjoys it and embraces it. Tell us where, if we're curious to learn more about you, to learn more about the book. I know you've got a great website, but point us in the directions. I know it's available on some Amazons. Do you want to tell us where we should check you out?

SPEAKER_00

Sure. So the website is a very good place, um, and that also has some contact details. There is also uh like a membership group where you can sign off with emails. We don't send out any junk emails or there is no weekly or set reminders. If if there is something important, like announcements about the events, uh then only you know you'll be notified. But if you if one read the book and if they had questions like how do I apply this to my life, then I'll be more than happy to see their email and the questions and you know, happy to answer. Because since this realization, my whole life has changed, and my remaining life is literally just to spread this message and you know have people this experience. So my website is praticjani.com. Uh the three-day method website is called thrustymethod.com. Uh the books are available on Amazon. Um, the retail should also have it, but I think the more the retailers will become aware of this book, they will start stocking it. But it is available. Um, and I think when the time comes, when I know the dates for Australia, the three-day program, uh, is gonna be there. I'm on Instagram and I will be putting more videos and because I'm running question-answer events in London, so I'm gonna be recording. So if one has a separate question, they can reach out there, and all those will be coming on YouTube. It will be pretty done.

SPEAKER_01

Well, what I'll do, I'll put some links in the show notes to make it easy for anyone who's curious. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you very much for having me.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, pleasure. Great to meet you.

SPEAKER_00

Likewise, like and thanks to all the listeners to devote this time to listen to this message. Thank you.
